Andrew BRUBAKER

Music Director

Andrew is a singer, pianist, conductor and music educator who has been teaching chorus in New York City Public Schools for ten years. Outside of his work within the public schools, Andrew has conducted with the National Children's Chorus, the Salute to Music City-Wide Chorus and has served as music director for  several productions with the New York Music Theatre Festival, NYU and Jersey Productions. Andrew has studied a variety of music education philosophies including certifications in Orff and Kodaly and several choral conducting institutions. 

In addition to his work teaching, Andrew is a Baritone vocalist who studied vocal performance at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and New York University. He has performed in ensembles in New York City including Ensemble NYC, Big Apple Baroque and has performed several roles in opera and musical theatre productions including Tony in West Side Story and Anthony in Sweeney Todd. Andrew also runs an active private studio teaching piano and voice to children and adults.

Fun Facts About Andrew: 

  • Andrew's favorite hobby outside of music is fitness and weightlifting! He started CrossFit in 2021 and has started working on a Personal Training certification program. 

  • He has a little Pomeranian-Chihuahua at home named Max.

  • He has a twin sister who is also a singer.
